Water Pump
Arsenic contamination puts over 20 million people in Bangladesh at risk, each year.
Bangladesh is one of the countries considered most vulnerable to the effects of drinking and freshwater shortages. Rising sea levels, salinity intrusion into freshwater and extensive distances between water sources threatens the security of this community.
60% of the population endures unsafe drinking water, with improper sanitation. Potable water is limited and pockets of arsenic contamination across the country put over 20 million people at risk each year.
We are building hand pump water wells in the most needed areas for Rohingya communities.
Human Aid & Advocacy have been working in Bangladesh, constructing hand pump water wells in some of the most needed areas for Rohingya communities. These wells extract water from underground, reducing the need to draw water from unsafe and unsanitary sources, providing a clean, safe reservoir for the Rohingya, closer to camp.
Donate to construct a water well and bring safe, potable water to the Rohingya.
£300 provides a hand pump bringing fresh water to Rohingya Refugee camps.
