My Story

In loving memory of our dear Reba Jahan, we are fundraising for a solar-powered water well in Yemen. As a mother, daughter, wife, and sibling, her time was appointed by Allah before us all. ..... Surely, Allah takes what is His, and what He gives is His, and to all things He has appointed a time. In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.‎ إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعون Innah lillahi wa inna ilahi Rajioon!“Surely we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return" َ O Allah, forgive your servant and elevate her station among those who are guided. Send her along the path of those who came before, and forgive us and her, O Lord of the worlds. Enlarge for her, her grave and shed light upon her in it. O Allah enter her in to the highest of jannah without hisāb. And accept this sadaqah jāriyah as a means of expiation purifying her and elevating her status. O Allah forgive us all for our shortcomings and grant us sabrun jameel in whatever difficulty we may be facing, magnifying our rewards and take us on a day in which You are pleased with us. آمين

The Story

Solar Water Wells

50% of the population struggles to access safe, clean water.

Yemen is facing its worst humanitarian and economic crisis in its modern history. Characterised by the escalating conflict, natural disasters, food insecurity and epidemic outbreaks, the humanitarian crisis in Yemen is widespread and severe, with more than 81% of the population in need of emergency assistance. An estimated 21.2 million Yemenis are currently in crisis.

Amidst rising fuel prices and a crumbling economic infrastructure, many Yemenis are being priced out of their basic needs. An alarming 50% of the population struggles daily to access enough safe, clean water.

Human Aid & Advocacy have commissioned solar wells in the areas of Al Hudaydah and Sana’a, bringing clean water access and facilities to those in desperate need.

‘By means of water, we give life to everything’. (Qur’an, 21:30)

Your donation can provide clean, potable water to local Yemeni communities in desperate need of support.

Support our Yemeni survivors and reap the benefits of donating to this worthwhile Sadaqah Jariyah project.
