This November, I'm embarking on a challenge that's as daunting as it is meaningful. I'm attempting a 3-day, 80-100km horse trek across the breathtaking (but rugged!) landscapes of Morocco.
Why? Because the children of Gaza need our help.
This past year has been devastating for Gaza. Indiscriminate bombing has ripped apart families, homes, and any sense of security. Thousands of children have been orphaned, left with unimaginable trauma and an uncertain future. They need food, shelter, healthcare, and education – the basic essentials we often take for granted.
The Orphan Fund is working tirelessly to provide these vital lifelines. They're ensuring these vulnerable children have a roof over their heads, nutritious meals, access to medical care, and the chance to continue their education.
But they can't do it alone.
That's where my "zero-to-hero" horse riding adventure comes in. My last experience on horseback was a gentle trot around a Cairo stable back in 2005! This trek will push me far beyond my comfort zone, and every aching muscle, every blister, will be a reminder of the resilience of the children in Gaza.
Please, donate whatever you can to support my challenge and, most importantly, to give hope to these orphaned children.
The Orphan Fund aims to provide essential shelter, food, education, and healthcare to the children of the shuhadah in Gaza, Afghanistan and Syria.
From just £40 a month you can help provide continuous support to our young orphans, offering them a strong foundation for a bright future.
The Prophet (pbuh) said, “The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this”, and he (pbuh) held his two fingers together to illustrate. [Bukhari]
