Sabeel is all about people development, our mission is to get our brothers and sisters excelling and positively impacting the world.

Part of this impact is our annual partnership with a humanitarian charity, this year it is Human Aid and Advocacy.

This Ramadan, our cohorts are raising vital funds to help our brothers and sisters in Gaza.

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "You see the believers as regards their being merciful among themselves and showing love among themselves and being kind, resembling one body, so that, if any part of the body is not well then the whole body shares the sleeplessness and fever with it."

The conflict that has ravaged Gaza and its people has already displaced 1.7 million Gazan, killing and injuring over one hundred thousand people. Despite the merciless onslaught the people of Gaza have remained steadfast.

We’ve all seen the devastating videos and images. The survivors desperately need our urgent help and assistance for the long term. We need to play our part take them out of poverty and help them survive this trial and test. We need to show that we stand with them in their moment of need, not just for their sake but our own.

Prophet Muhammed (saw) said;

“Allah said: ‘Spend, O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you.’”

We are collecting ZAKAT and SADAQAH this Ramadan to provide vital assistance in Gaza.

Prophet Muhammed (saw) said "Charity extinguishes sin just as water extinguishes fire.”

WHAT WILL WE DO WITH YOUR ZAKAT AND SADAQA?

Since the start of the current attacks on Gaza Human Aid & Advocacy have supported in the ways the people on the ground need it the most, be it through food packs, hot meals, financial assistance, hygiene kits, medical support, clean water distributions, or advocacy. Both your Zakah and Sadaqah will be spent on:

• Clean water
• Food packs
• Hot meals
• Hygiene kits
• Cash assistance

As soon as we are able to we will also provide ambulances, rebuilding of medical facilities and homes as well as orphan care/sponsorship

Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: “Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.”
