SUDAN EMERGENCY APPEAL
Since April 2023, Sudan has been torn apart by civil war between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), triggering one of the world’s most catastrophic humanitarian crises. More than 30 million people now need urgent assistance, with nearly 12 million forcibly displaced inside Sudan and across its borders.
Over 20 million face acute food insecurity, famine-like conditions are spreading across Darfur and Kordofan, and agricultural production has collapsed—leaving families without reliable access to food, water, or basic necessities. The health system has all but collapsed, with most facilities non-functional and deadly disease outbreaks— including cholera, dengue, and malaria—spreading rapidly.
