My Story

The Story

Hospital

Afghanistan has become the world’s largest humanitarian crisis – suffering from decades of conflict, dwindling food shortages and hunger.

Our team visited Afghanistan in January 2022, to identify the needs of the Afghan people. Nearly half the population are in need of humanitarian assistance, especially healthcare.

Many hospitals report shortages in essential medicines and supplies.

Afghanistan’s financial crisis and loss of funding means the current healthcare system is under threat.

One healthcare worker in Kabul expressed, “People come to our clinics, they bring malnourished children, and we don’t have enough medicine”, “Every week I witness three of four kids dying of malnutrition, a preventable death”.

What can we do?

Human Aid & Advocacy are supporting the Jannat Gul Khan Public Hospital, located in Kabul. In this densely populated area, the large majority of inhabitants have migrated from other provinces.

The Hospital is at a critical stage in its development.

Your donation will go towards expanding the premises and medical departments; setting up the hospital to ensure it is fit for purpose. With your support, the hospital will stand to benefit from the employment of specialised personnel in General Surgery, Neonatal and Postnatal, Nursing and Orthopaedics departments, as well as vital medical equipment, emergency patient transport and maintenance services.

Donate and reap the reward of ongoing charity through this rare Sadaqah Jariyah project.

You have the chance to donate towards the Afghanistan Hospital at a critical stage in its development.

You can purchase a share of this worthwhile Sadaqah Jariyah project and benefit from the reward of your ongoing charity even after death.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When a man dies, all his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge, or a  righteous son who will pray for him.” Narrated by Muslim (1631).

Consider the reward you may receive by supporting this extraordinary Sadaqah Jariyah project. Your donation could be the crucial difference between life and death for survivors in Afghanistan.

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The Muslim is the brother of his fellow Muslim; he does not wrong him or let him down. The one who meets the needs of his brother, Allah will meet his needs. Whoever relieves a Muslim of distress, Allah will relieve him of distress on the Day of Resurrection.”

Donate now to alleviate the struggles of the Afghan people and provide fundamental healthcare to those that need it most.

The one who stays with the one who is sick, and takes care of him and looks after him has done good by serving him and caring for him, and Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “and do good. Truly, Allah loves Al-Muhsinoon (the good-doers)” [Surah al-Baqarah 2:195].

What are the costs?

  • Surgical operations - £500 for 10 surgeries
  • Childbirth including post-natal care - £300 for 10 births
  • Emergency treatment - £100 for 5 patients
  • All of the above can be provided for £500
