The Story

*Human Aid & Advocacy provides a crowd-funding platform that allows individuals or organisations to raise money. We do not endorse any campaigns, donors, individuals, or organisations.

Support Families to Respond to 'LGBTQ+' Propaganda

I speak to parents almost every day who are upset, angry and feel disempowered.  Since RSE was made statutory in schools, many schools have aggressively embarked on initiatives to push ‘LGBTQ+’ to Muslim children.  Speakers claiming to identify as Muslim and ‘LGB’ falsely claim there is nothing wrong in identifying as Muslim and ‘gay’ or ‘lesbian’.  Confusing young Muslim minds that there's a difference of opinion about same-sex sexual behaviour.

We are witnessing young Muslims having doubts in Islam, engaging in promiscuous sexual behaviour and even young Muslim girls who believe they are ‘in the wrong body’.

The level of the problem is yet to be fully grasped by our community.  But what we do know is we need to pull together and establish a collective effort to strategically respond.

At the moment, I do not have the capacity to help the numbers of parents coming to me for support or to accept all the requests from masaajid and makaatib to support their communities.

Over the past year I have delivered over 45 workshops, that's nearly one a week, but this is not enough to raise awarenesswake parents up, and empower families with the tools and skills to meet these contemporary challenges.

Over the past 6 months I have supported over 150 parents, one to one, across the country and supported two campaigns to challenge schools which overstepped the mark.  This is skimming at the edges of the problem.

This year will mark the 15th year SREIslamic has been functioning.  It has never had a full-time team or been a fully resourced organisation.  Throughout that time it's been a one-man operation.  Although I've been helped by many selfless brothers and sisters, a group of volunteers, no matter how committed, can never be enough to respond to a multimillion pound industry that seeks to indoctrinate and misguide your children.

We've never had the time and space to proactively respond to the level of the challenges we are all facing.

Help us to change that.

That is why we must start to build an organisation resourced to meet this challenge.

This organisation will:

  • Empower communities to meet these challenges.  We will recruit, train and provide ongoing support to over 100 Muslim men and women in all the major cities and towns with large Muslim populations across England, Wales and Scotland to raise awareness and support parents. This is a massive project that will, with the help of Allah, increase the reach and impact of our work.
  • Finalise and launch our maktab programme.  This will empower young Muslims to understand and respond to the contemporary challenges.  We plan to finalise, market and train 100 makaatib to deliver our unique maktab programme.  This will be a subsidised programme that will reach tens of thousands of Muslim children insha Allah. This programme is designed to engage Muslim children (target age: 7-11) to navigate the contemporary challenges (atheism, doubts in Islam, pornography, sexual promiscuity, peer pressure, social media, ‘LGBTQ+’ identities and build pride in Islam)
  • Build a fully functional website that contains guides, resources, support tools and media to support parents meet the contemporary challenges.
  • Create an animated series to support young Muslims to navigate the LGBTQ+ challenge.
  • Conduct a research-based activism drive to draw light on Muslim children in schools who are sanctioned for expressing a contrary view about same-sex relationships. Using these case studies we want to challenge the one-sided implementation of the Equality Act and give our young Muslims the space to be proud of their moral positions.

Support your children by empowering our community through backing us this Ramadan. May Allah bless you and your families.
